vol.8: and we're back!
Greetings, adventurers!
I can’t believe we’re already in December. Time is absolutely fake and I don’t know where it went. A lot of personal stuff has been going on recently, so it’s no wonder that the newsletter took the backburner so that I could focus on projects such as International Podcast Month, running rounds of The Vampire Game (more on that at a later date), and generally being overwhelmed with life and work.
Thanks as always for your support, patience, and interest in my various projects.
It’s the holiday season! With that, we’ve got two new articles:
A Mini Gift Guide for the RPG Podcaster, by Tess Cocchio
A Gift Guide for the TTRPG Lover, by Tess Cocchio
In case you missed it:
Pay Attention: Black Voices in the RPG Community, by Tess Cocchio
October Debuts, while late, have been posted! You can read about them here.
You can also find that the November debuts are up! You can read about all of the new November pods that launched here.
No show highlights this month. I’ve been neck-deep in work that I can’t multitask listening. Add on that without a commute and working from home, I’m finding it harder to actually catch up on shows, so I feel woefully unprepared to provide you with show highlights. I promise these will return in 2021!
Black Lives Matter. Every day.

Kickstarter Funding ENDING SOON: Ace Adventure and the Flying Royal Flush, the Tabletop RPG! (Ends Dec 4)
In the dystopian future of 2020, the President of the United States is a reality TV star, enacting law via social media, fishing nets litter the oceans and the world takes away an accessibility tool as punishment. The police gun down unarmed children. Nazis are publicly supported by people calling themselves gender critical; their joint cause is controlling how people talk, dress and where they can pee. So when an experimental pilot goes back in time and accidentally nukes London during the Great War, continuing to alter history doesn’t seem like such a bad idea.
In Ace Adventure and the Flying Royal Flush you play a pilot, protester and decent human in an alternate United States between the World Wars. Fight fascists, mobsters, bigots and giant monsters as you spread the radical idea that people are important even if they’re not rich, straight, white and able.
